every breath you take ♬

i take my inner peace seriously. but not gonna lie, staying calm and hopeful during these times has proven to be an endurance sport. so now i’m training myself as if i was a breathing athlete. i knew about breath work and have been practicing somehow regularly for the past years, however i found a new concept that’s made easier for me to connect to my breathing.

  • breathology is the study of every breath we take during a day. ayo handy-kendi came up with this concept more than 40 years ago, when she had to unplug her son from the electrical respirator that was keeping him alive. she experienced directly the power of one simple breath. relearn how to breath here:

  • i’m sure stig severinsen based his whole career on ayo handy-kendi (the black woman you just read about). even if he doesn’t give her credit *pretends to be surprised*, at least, he’s done the effort to offer us free breathing courses that can be found in the following link.

  • today, dr. fre shares with us “a lush textured experimental jazz-fusion song featuring circular breath and saxophone. perfect for losing and/or finding yourself in it”.

that’s it for today. short mail so you can devote more minutes to focusing on your breathing. inhale love, exhale everything else. we got this!

every breath you take, every move you make, every word you say, every game you play, i’ll be watching you.

much love, mora 😮‍💨
